Rhode Island Comic Con's 2017 edition of "Star Wars Week" is in the books. Here's a breakdown of the guests, exclusives and costumers we can expect to see when RICC returns to the Rhode Island Convention Center November 10th-12th. Narratives below each image are from RICC's Facebook Page.

The wait is over for the traditional "Star Wars Week" from Rhode Island Comic Con.  This week we will get getting our first big wave of Star Wars guests for their 2017 show, which happens November 10th-12th at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence.  The announcement was made via the show's social media accounts.

Rhode Island has already announced several Star Wars guests for their 2017 show.

How many degrees of separation are there between Boston Comic Con and a shipping list that hung in a London coffee shop in 1734?  What about Star Wars Celebration and a 16th century Dutch humanist ? Not as many as you may think and the answers lie in the history of the corporations that ultimately own both of these shows

While writing about the transition of Boston Comic Con to Fan Expo Boston (you can read that HERE) I became interested in learning more about Fan Expo HQ, which has owned Boston Comic Con (in addition to 8 other conventions) for the past year.

New York Comic Con photo ops went live today, and while it is no guarantee of what autograph prices will be for our favorite Star Wars guests who will be appearing, it is certainly gives us a good idea of what to expect. These prices for Mark Hamill and Felicity Jones are the same as were charged during Star Wars Celebration in April.

BOSTON COMIC CON NOW FAN EXPO BOSTON?

I heard Boston Comic Con had been sold to Fan Expo HQ while at the Seaport World Trade Center during their 2016 show.  For the last year we've wondered what changes would come with the new owners and now we have our answers.  For the most part.

The show was moved to the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, their fifth venue in it's ten year history. Their website promised "more creators and celebrities than ever before!" with over 200,000 square feet of space, 200 exhibitors and expected attendance to be over 50,000 people throughout the weekend.
